I had a close call while hauling overburden at a limestone quarry. The inept Cat 992 overloaded the Cat 775 that I was operating by about 25 tons to say the least I was real leary when I tried to dump that load.
most of the times its bc the loads are too heavy and its not the drivers fault, plus the roads they were driving on.
What are often described as “driving” fails are actually the result of employers requiring their people to operate in nearly impossible conditions.
You must also keep in mind that most of these drivers would be poor and they could not find any alternate jobs, so they must drive through these dangerous terrains to earn something and sustain their families.
Truck driver: I can carry this stuff in 2 loads, but, of course, you’ll earn a little less profit b/c I have to make 2 trips.or we can stack every bit in 1 load and you have a 50 50 chance of a massive profit.
