Lovely work, beautiful craftsmanship and of course lots of patience.Would be stronger with shorter square slightly thicker tabs, that don’t go right to the edge, but nice joinery!

Well this isn’t really about joining wood together- there’s faster, more conventional, no realistic, maybe even stronger ways to make this joint. This is some kinda artistic approach at woodworking.

I can see someone joining 2×4’s on a construction site like this and getting fired.You can do lots of fancy shapes to fit the joints, but the load on the joints is weak and fragile.

The joints are weak.If ever there was a ridiculous joint just designed to keep the Youtube audience amused, this is it.

It is of no practical use whatever, and is extremely weak. with short grain all over the place. Scarf joints should employ the strength of long-grain timber.
