I don’t think such big trees are still existing. That would make a nice bar top or coffee table top. I wondered if it might be walnut wood, until I read the details under the video.
I have several oak logs I’d like to run through that saw, though sawed into thinner slabs. How much would it cost per log.they’re using automated machine from loading to saw the log and doing everything.
It’s really dangerous to handle it manually like this.I can’t believe my eyes when I see stuff like this it lets me know how fortunate I am. Those are hard working men but their working conditions are appalling for today’s standards sure hope nobody gets hurt !
I see that in your channel you have videos about woodworking, sawmills and others! I am writing to you in English since apparently you and the people at the sawmill are Asian! Well, I will tell you that I am from Argentina and I worked in my youth in a sawmill that had a large Cart Saw with vertical endless blade and one of the old ones since we cut all kinds of soft and hard wood logs, as well as huge logs of the Eucalyptus species.
This machine had a 30 horsepower electric motor and it was housed in a well next to the machinery where there was a clutch system and all this covered with boards where we walked and we also had the clutch lever and the electrical panel to start the machine or turn it off.
The car at the bottom had a toothed rack the entire length of it and connected with a pinion that was on the floor being driven by a transmission that came from the machinery and ran under the floor covered with a sheet.
Then with the clutch lever we would move the car back and forth, without making great efforts, at least with regard to the movement of the car with the trunk and given that we were two people who did the work.
Well, with all the respect that these hard-working people deserve that of course it is appropriate to say so, I allow myself with your permission and their permission to make some comments so that they do not make so much effort in their task.
I was updating myself with the new wood cutting machinery, through the different videos on YouTube, so I have seen all the new technology such as the horizontal cutting of portable tools, factory or homemade (there is everything) such as Also the large automatic machines that exist in the US that are impressive, such as endless blades with double teeth as they cut forward and backward.
Then notice that at the beginning of your video they would lack an iron profile where a cart with bearings runs with the rigging hooked with.
