I recently heard about some guys in Kentucky developing a tractor tire that you can push a button and paddles pop out from the tire for when you get stuck.

That would be amazing if they are able to develop those.

The paddles retract when you are out of the mud and look and work like normal tractor tires.

How they’re going to be able to have paddles emerg from the tire is beyond me.

Sounds like a great idea though heres hoping. Some of these tractors have insane amounts of torque and power.

Most people simply don’t understand just how much power they have.

In Thailand, where they use tractors in flooded rice fields, instead of buying additional rubber for their tractors,they attach a steel paddlewheel outside the drive tire.

From what I’ve seen, they don’t get stuck.Damn some of these folks is rough on that big dollar equipment.

I could literally hear my dad and the other old hands screaming and cussing me in my head watching several of these.

God I’ve not had major situations like Alot of these occur yet.In the 70s I saw a huge 4wd tractor two tires on each corner stuck past the hubs in mud.

It was along I90 in South Dakota. The farmer was on the CB radio. Someone asked him how he’d get it out. He said he’d just miss the next payment and the bank would have it out in no time!
