Incredibly well thought through build! If only I’d seen this two weeks ago before I built myself a similar but by far not as precise jig. Just recently stumbled across your channel and I’m truly amazed and inspired by your talent and your creativity.
Keep these great videos coming!I am not going to rush out to the shop and make one of these, but I have bookmarked it ready for if and when I do need tapered round legs. An excellent project. Thanks for sharing.I am reviewing the fixture. Really top class fixture.
You have also included a washer to prevent the lifting of the work piece during cutting. Excellent.I wonder if that blade holder will bend in time due to all that side ways force.
Just a thought.Super cool no doubt and if I was stuck on a mountain with no access to a store and needed to get the piece out by weeks end.Great ingenuity but shouldn’t use tools for what they aren’t made for, there’s a reason for this and many learn it too late. The sideways force on the blade is not a great idea.
I’d rather save up and buy a secondhand lathe, make a video on the restoration rather and do things right and safe.
