Hi mate love the videos, I work in the construction industry here in the UK and I use a pulling of cable device called a 14mm Cobra.
It’s a large circular frame and inside the frame is a single 14mm fibre glass rod that feeds in and out.
I saw this and wondered if you could have a look online at what I mean and be able to mechanise it with a drill and a bike chain and gears. Can this possibly work.
Please direct message me as I do hope you receive this post.Hope people learn how to make a factory to feed their family . I appreciate your lesson.
I’m sure it’s handy for you. Perhaps a simple improvement might be to add a revolution counter so you can do consistent length sections.
It’s really wonderful but it would waste a lot of time to achieve a large one of enough size to protect around your garden.
It would also cost a lot more than the similar, even better, one you can easily get from market, of which coast price must be much lower thanks to its mass-producing line.
I think the one got from market will be made from real steel wire because it is a product of regular manufacture with strong instruments in true factories, not a handicraft like this one.
In brief, this is just for fun, not for practical use. Time is gold. Waste of time is not advisable.
