Notice how the d6s keep going while the d9 just sinks. Sometimes bigger isnt always better. Those wider tracks on the d6s help a ton.anyone else get the overwhelming urge to want to go and touch that amazingly looking shiny smooth clay roll?

Everyone talking bout the D6’s vs the D9, the D9 has much thinner tracks, that’s why it was having trouble pushing up hill.

That is working those machines. You can tell the traction dif between the wide tracks vs the skinny tracks. A company I worked for had a kamatsu 6 with mud tracks on it, the tracks were wide and the cleats looked like rounded off boomerangs. We called it puss, puss would go anywhere you wanted it to in the mud, quite an amazing machine. You could use that clay to build some nice bricks!

I’d love to run one of those dozers moving that clay. It would really satisfy my OCD! I’m curious what one of the rolled weighs once they get it pushed over to the excavator

The big one got upset and took off and watched from the side cause his tracks weren’t wide enough.. poor D9..

My question is, why don’t the D9 have the wide tracks? Would help out alot if it did. Great video though. Them CAT dozer’s are amazing
