Two questions. Why do you hold wood chips underneath it after you put the coating on. And once the stem is very thin what speed is your lathe set at.Again great job.I am awed by your skill.

I panicked a few times when you thinned the stem.

I would have chickened out long before and resorted to a slow sand to get it thinner. Or a smaller skew! Very good, love your style of art.easaly one of he best turning videos i have seen. your technique is quite amazing. you should be very proud of yourself for the skills you have learned!!I tried this in my woods class.

The chuck couldn’t handle that much weight and torque when I tried to get the hollowed part turned out. Had to cut the project. Great work on yours.

An excellent command of the tools used to produce a work of art, you have a skill by practice that can be hard to be taught but learned by experience as any hand skills are.

Looks great! I also want to make something like this, can you please tell me what material you use after. To fill all pours, so the glass will be used for drinks and nothing sucking out of wood.

If you use some oils, it’s not coming in drinks if you for example drink alcohol. So relaxing to see,, but there’s a lot of hard work and patience involved to get fine piece of work. Hats off to the man who did that.

I think that the thickness of the middle part should be a little more thicker so that we can avoid the fast breaking of goblet.

Beautiful, the only thing I would change is the handle to be a bit thicker and the bowl a bit smaller.Well, of course the bowl warpes of you‘ve got some humid Wood like this. (And even without a break it would do the Same) congrats to your awesome goblet! Looks pretty nice.
