I still look at the technique with distrust, because I would like to see what will happen to that road and paving stones in a couple of years.

Although our valiant builders, even on the opening day of the road, manage to crap themselves.

But if it justifies itself, I applaud standing, delighted.

I remember watching Mega Machines on History Channel and they had a machine they used in California that drove down 1 highway lane and stripped the old pavement, recycled it, and laid it back down and rolled it as it drove.

They said it was used for heavily congested highways that are impossible to shut down parts to do it a traditional way.

I used to be an asphalt maintenance contractor.

I have never seen the chip seal process, itd amazing. The first video isn’t paving. It’s tar and rocks.

The beauty of it is, right after it’s first installed, it sticks to your wheels and tires and gets thrown all over the side of your vehicle, not to mention the chips in your paint from all the rocks that get thrown from passing vehicles.

Then, each year after, when summer hits, the blazing sun reactivates the tar so that it A gets thrown all over your vehicle.

It’s the gift that keeps on giving. Where I live they do this continually and everyone dreads it.

It’s a cheap way to make some people think the roads are being maintained when, really, they’re not.
